Dear Abba,
You sent your One and only Son, Jesus Christ, on an important mission to Earth.
Jesus came shining – The Light; testifying – The Truth; leading us – The Way; reviving us -The Life.
Jesus, God in the flesh, was and is the most important person in all of existence.
He could have commanded boardrooms, palaces, and city gates. Instead he tended to fields of paupers, women, and children – The Good Shepheard.
And Oh, the children…how Jesus loved the little children! “Let the little children come unto Me.”
Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Matthew 18:3 NASB 1995)
Yes! I want to be a big kid! I want to help out! I want to be part of the family business! And off I go…getting myself into messes. I set out eagerly in my own strength like a big, brave, noble hero. And now I’m tired and grumpy and overwhelmed.
Jesus sought you, Father, early in the morning for each day’s filling of wisdom (what to do) and strength (the JOY of the Lord).
Jesus – my Daily Bread.
Jesus – the True Vine.
Communion.
Woops, I just keep missing it.
“Everything I ever needed to know I learned in Kindergarten,” they say. Good thing I did, too.
Jesus loves me, this I know; for the Bible tells me so; little ones to Him belong; they are weak, but He is strong.
YES, JESUS LOVES ME! YES, JESUS LOVES ME! YES, JESUS LOVES ME! The BIBLE tells me so!
So here I am, with faith like a child, believing you can clean up my messes. I’m so weak. You’re so strong. You’ll be with me all along. And I’ll be singing that sweet little song, that never grows old – until I’m dancing with you on streets of gold.
JESUS LOVES ME.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit – YOU ARE THE BEST!
I love you. I’m with you. I repent of working so hard.
I will laugh, praise, and play like a child. I will dance like a child. I will depend on you like a child.
